Hi all!
Sad news. We came to the end. Our educational technology course is over. I am truly sad about it because it was the only course I had fun with.
Before this course, I was obviously aware of technology and its use, but I was not really sure about how to integrate it into the classroom. For example, in my school life, all of my English teachers used the smart board only to make presentations or movies. Maybe sometimes for making competitions. I never had teachers who knew how to use this technology effectively.
However, with the help of my dear teacher, I now understand how I can use this incredible chance my generation has. I can make my classes much more enjoyable by simply assigning tasks as we did. My opinions about technology use in ELT classes have changed in a very positive way.
One of my favorite tasks is definitely podcasting. I really enjoyed creating a story and a richly sonic podcast with my friend. I will never ever forget how much fun we had doing it (even with the difficulties). Also, I think it will be a big memory for me and my friend Hatice to look back on in the future.
I have enjoyed all of the tasks, but if I had to pick my least favorite of them, it would be the Padlet task. I enjoyed that too, but it was not as enjoyable as the other ones. It was just a research process and then writing the information on the wall. I think it wasn't as creative as the other ones, but probably one of the most effective in education.
In the end, I thank my teacher for giving me this course and sharing her experience and information with us. This course will be one of the courses I will remember in the future.
